Training and support for Cochrane review authors

Our workshops for review authors are designed to meet the needs of both new and more experienced authors. Introductory training for new authors is provided through the Protocol and Analysis workshops. For those further in to the review process, the Review Completion and Update Program is designed to provide dedicated support and protected time to help authors get their review 'across the line'. There is no charge for attending these workshops provided participants are either working on or intending to work on a registered Cochrane review.

From time to time we run special workshops covering more advanced topics, or hosted by interested organisations. We also hold an annual Symposium for regional contributors to The Cochrane Collaboration. The purpose of these symposia is to provide an in-depth look at current methodological and organisational issues that affect review authors, staff of Cochrane entities, and other interested contributors. In 2008 the Symposium was held in Hobart and in 2007 the Symposium was held in Brisbane.

The next Symposium will be held in Auckland, New Zealand, in March 2010.
