Thai
Cochrane Network
The Thai Cochrane Network (TCN) was established in
2002 as a branch of the UK Cochrane Centre following
the then Director's (Sir Iain Chalmers) close ties with
the country. In early 2006 the TCN became a branch of
the Australasian Cochrane Centre, reflecting the increasing
links between the ACC and Thailand resulting from the
Wellcome Trust/NHMRC funded SEA-ORCHID
Project.
The TCN supports a large number of Cochrane review
authors spread across many institutions around Thailand,
and has its co-ordinating base at the Faculty of Medicine,
Khon Kaen University. The Thai Cochrane Network also
acts as the reference centre for Laos.
