Singapore
Branch
The Singapore Branch of the Australasian Cochrane Centre
was established in July 2005 following several years
collaboration between the Centre and colleagues at the
Clinical Trials and Epidemiology Research Unit (CTERU)
in Singapore. A series of regular systematic review
workshops in Singapore have produced a growing cohort
of Cochrane review authors representing many Cochrane
review groups.
The Branch aims to promote and support Cochrane Collaboration
activities in Singapore and has the following tasks:
- To support the writing of Cochrane reviews by local
clinical researchers
- To conduct four Cochrane systematic review workshops
annually
- To network with regional Cochrane entities and contributors
to promote Cochrane Collaboration activities
The Singapore Branch is located at the Clinical Trials
and Epidemiology Research Unit (CTERU) which is jointly
managed by Singapore Health Services & the National
Healthcare Group, but is funded by the National Medical
Research Council of the Singapore Ministry of Health.
