Australasian
Cochrane Entities
The following Cochrane entities
have their editorial base in the region:
Cochrane Review Groups
Satellites of Cochrane Review Groups*
Fields, Networks and Methods Groups
* Cochrane Review Groups are under
increasing pressure to provide adequate support to more
and more review authors. In Australia, several review
groups, which have their editorial base in a different
country, have set up satellites as a way of sharing
the workload associated with producing reviews.
The Cochrane Collaboration has a special organisational
structure to meet the needs of producing high quality
healthcare information.
Cochrane Review Groups prepare and produce
Cochrane systematic reviews in specific healthcare topic
areas. Fields identify health issues of importance
to specific populations and/or intervention types, and
facilitate reviews across the relevant review groups.
Methods Groups provide advice and support to
the Collaboration in the development of the methods
of systematic reviews. For more information on the role
and function of these entities, please click here.
