Countries
supported by the Australasian Cochrane Centre
The region supported by the Australasian Cochrane Centre
extends from Afghanistan in the west to New Zealand
and the Pacific Islands in the east. Several countries
in the region (coloured in the map below) have established
networks to support growing number of Cochrane review
authors, and to further the aims of the Cochrane Collaboration.
The Centre works closely with many Cochrane
people in the region and has established Branches in
New Zealand, Singapore,
South Asia (covering India,
Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka) and Thailand.
We also support networks in Malaysia
and the Philippines. Since
2004, our regional activity in South East Asia has largely
been made possible as result of the SEA-ORCHID
Project.
There are still many countries in the
region which are under-represented in the Cochrane Collaboration.
We are keen to support people who are interested in
contributing to the Collaboration in these countries,
and can help by linking people with other Cochrane entities
(Review Groups and Fields) who can advise on how to
become involved.

Cochrane Centre is the reference Centre:
