Summaries of Cochrane reviews are produced by the Australasian Cochrane Centre for the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.  They are designed to help staff quickly identify:

	Cochrane reviews and their findings
	health care interventions that work and those that don't work
	priority areas for future research

Summaries produced so far are based on new and updated systematic reviews published in The Cochrane Library between Issue 4 2002 - Issue 3 2009. Notification of new summaries is circulated to Departmental staff in the EBPN bulletin. 

The policy liaison initiative is funded by a grant from the Department of Health and Ageing.
