Cochrane people in asthma

Editorial Base
The Airways Review Group is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of asthma reviews in The Cochrane Library.  The Editorial Base is located at St George's Hospital Medical School in London and  is funded by the United Kingdom National Health Service Research and Development Directorate. Australia's contribution 

  • The Australian Cochrane Airways Group Network - a regional centre funded by the Department of Health and Ageing. 
  • Three Australian editors: Peter Gibson, Haydn Walters and Richard Wood-Baker.

Regional centres
The Australian Cochrane Airways Group Network is based at the Hunter Medical Research Institute, John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle.  The Group receives funding from the Department of Health and Ageing to support members of the Cochrane Airways Group in Australia by:

  • coordinating a network of contributors,
  • providing support and training for reviewers, 
  • methodological development.
