Simon French has been affiliated with the Institute
of Health Services Research at Monash University since
early 2003, first with the Centre
for Clinical Effectiveness and subsequently as a
research officer and lecturer with the Australasian
Cochrane Centre.
Simon has previously worked at the Australasian Cochrane
Centre on the Policy
Liaison Initiative and also on a research project
that examined the process of updating
Cochrane systematic reviews. Since October 2005,
he has been undertaking his PhD. Simon's PhD project
is part of an NHMRC-funded IMPLEMENT
Project at the Centre that is developing and evaluating
a strategy to implement an evidence-based clinical practice
guideline for the management of acute low-back pain
into general practice.
Simon is a review author with the Cochrane Back Review
Group and is currently undertaking a Cochrane systematic
review with the Cochrane Effective Practice and Organisation
of Care (EPOC) Group. He is also an associate editor
of the open access BioMed
Central journal Chiropractic and Osteopathy.
Simon holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology
from Monash University
in addition to his clinical qualifications in chiropractic.
