Sue Brennan joined the Australasian Cochrane Centre
in 2002 on a part-time
secondment to prepare summaries of the findings of Cochrane
systematic
reviews for policy makers in the Australian Government
Department of Health
and Ageing. As the Centre's Policy Liaison Officer (2003-04),

responsible for establishing and coordinating a program
designed to help
policy makers use Cochrane reviews to inform health
policy and research
agendas.
Sue is currently undertaking her doctorate on Continuous
Quality Improvement (CQI); the overall aim of the
project being to develop a research framework that will
improve our ability to understand and measure the effect
of CQI on healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Her other research interests include the use of evidence
by policy makers and the effectiveness of strategies
designed to increase the uptake of evidence for decision
making in health policy.
Sue has an honours degree in Science and a Graduate
