Matthew Page has been with the Australasian Cochrane Centre since November 2007, and has worked on various projects, such as the Policy Liaison Initiative in conjunction with the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing to facilitate the use of evidence by policy makers, and the NHMRC-funded IMPLEMENT trial which has evaluated the effectiveness of implementing an evidence-based clinical practice guideline for the management of acute low-back pain into general practice. He is currently working on the ALIGN trial, an NHMRC-funded cluster randomised controlled trial designed to investigate the effectiveness of an implementation strategy to increase use of evidence-based guidelines in allied health, and is contributing to systematic reviews in the Cochrane Neuromuscular Disease and Metabolic and Endocrine Disorders Review Groups. These projects allow Matthew to continue to work in areas of interest including systematic review methodology, implementation science, biostatistics, and outcome measurement.
Matthew has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Hons) from La Trobe University. He was awarded the La Trobe University Alumni Psychology Chapter Prize in 2007, and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
